Nov 2024 Monthly Meeting

Please join us for our November meeting, our guest speaker will be Lydia Gwin.  She will talk about Baking & Crafting Cocktails with Honey.  We will also have honey baking contest!  To enter the baking contest please bring a baked good that features honey.  Lydia will be joined by fellow Kitchen Conservatory instructor, Sharon Tutko.  Sharon will judge the baking contest entries, the top 3 entries will receive a cash prize.

Lydia Gwin, creator of Gwin’s Tiny Kitchen and culinary instructor at Kitchen Conservatory, uses her passion for food to connect kids, communities, and cultures. Extensive travel has shaped her culinary perspective. During quarantine, she launched Gwin’s Tiny Kitchen, engaging families in cooking videos. Now teaching classes at Kitchen Conservatory and former co-host of the Chew in the Lou podcast, Lydia aims to inspire confidence in cooking, promote local produce, and share her love for food science.

Sharon Tutko is a seasoned private chef and event caterer with 28 years of experience, having trained at the California Culinary Academy and initially working as an executive chef in a corporate kitchen. Relocating to Saint Louis in 2004 to raise her family, she expanded her culinary career to include health and wellness education, becoming a certified Health and Wellness Coach. Sharon’s cooking style is a blend of global flavors and comfort food, emphasizing nutritious, balanced meals.

Come early to enjoy a little social time and dessert at 6:15 pm, the presentations will start at 6:45 pm.   Bring your questions for our experts, they will make sure you’re on track for this month in beekeeping!  Our meetings are open to everyone, see you there!
