2024 Wax Dipping Woodenware Event
April 6 @ 6:30 am - April 7 @ 5:00 pm
SOLD OUT!
The EMBA is providing an opportunity for club members to have their brand new woodenware wax dipped. This coating will seal & protect your wooden hive equipment for years to come. The wax used is a mixture of paraffin and microcrystalline wax, which provides the best protection. This wax mixture will remain hard in the summer heat, and better impregnate the wood. Beeswax is not used as it melts at a much lower temperature making it less able to penetrate wood; also it would be sticky in the summer heat.
Please note the following requirements to participate:
- Each dipped piece is $6 payable to the EMBA, for example one stand and two hive bodies will cost $18. Cash, check or credit card payments will be accepted
- New equipment only
- No painted or oil sealed boxes will be dipped
- All equipment needs to have person’s name and phone number written inside the box with permanent marker.
