Aug 2024 Monthly Meeting

Join us for our August club meeting, this month’s key note speaker will be Jane Sueme, talking about “Fall Feeding and Winter Preparations”.  Jane is the co-founder of St. Louis Beekeepers, and co-owner of Isabee’s Beekeeping Supplies in Fenton, MO.  Working with the St. Louis Beekeepers, Jane coordinated the SSA (Sustainable Stock Apiary) queen-rearing group, receiving grant funding from USDA-SARE in 2018 and 2022.  A small group raises locally-adapted, sustainable queens using a chemical-free management program, making both mated queens and nucleus colonies available to St. Louis area beekeepers.

Come early to enjoy a little social time and dessert at 6:15 pm, the presentations will start at 6:45 pm.   Bring your questions for our experts, they will make sure you’re on track for this month in beekeeping!  Our meetings are open to everyone, see you there!
