May 2025 Monthly Meeting

Join us for our May meeting featuring guest speaker Myron Beachy, president of the Nassau County Beekeepers Association and a state-certified Queen Breeder based on Black Hammock Island in Northeast Florida.
Myron is the owner of Beachy Queens and supplied the queens for our club in 2025. His work focuses on breeding honeybee lines that are gentle, hygienic, and highly productive. With a background in Statistics and Mathematics—and a lifelong passion for animal husbandry—Myron is dedicated to advancing bee genetics through thoughtful, sustainable practices.
He will be presenting on Sustainable Queen Rearing, covering the following topics:
- Queen rearing fundamentals
- Basics of Queen Math
- Producing queens without grafting
- Simple methods with grafting
- Tips and Tricks for success
Come early to enjoy a little social time and dessert at 6:15 pm, the presentations will start at 6:45 pm. Bring your questions for our experts, they will make sure you’re on track for this month in beekeeping. Our meetings are open to everyone, see you there!
